About GrindMath
GrindMath makes calculators for games where the answer depends on what you own. Each tool shows where its numbers come from, flags the ones that might be wrong, and lets you fix them.
Who makes it
Jude Wallis builds GrindMath. He also writes and runs three free learning sites:
- EconLearn: economics practice and interactive lessons
- StatsLearn: statistics practice
- CalcLearn: calculus practice
GrindMath runs on the same idea as those sites: you learn more by working out your own case than by reading a list. A calculator that takes your pet's exact weight and mutation tells you something a general value list can't.
How the numbers are handled
- Sourced or editable. Any number we can't trace to a source is left for you to type in, not made up. That's why there are no hatch odds, egg prices or trade values anywhere on the site: nobody has published them reliably.
- Two sources before a pet gets its own page. A pet only gets a dedicated calculator page when the wiki's calculator data and the pet's own wiki page agree on its base income. The other pets are still in every calculator, with any disagreement shown.
- Conflicts are shown. When two sources disagree, the tool says so and uses the better-supported one.
- Dated. Every data set says when it was last checked. Games update weekly, so check the date.
- Tested. Every number written into a page is recomputed from the data file by an automated test before the site is published, and the test is itself checked by feeding it wrong data to make sure it fails.
- Not official. GrindMath is a fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation or any game's developers. We don't use game logos or game art.
Sources: Steal An Egg
| What | Source | Date | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base income per pet | Wiki calculator data, cross-checked with each pet's wiki page (170 of 173 match, including Unicorn, whose page sits under "Steal An Egg Wiki:Unicorn") and Eldorado's pet index (16 of 16 spot checks match) | Rev. 2026-09-30, checked 2026-10-04 | Fairly high |
| Third check for pet pages | Steal An Egg Time pet list: 36 of the 44 pet-page pets are listed there with an income, and all 36 match | 2026-10-04 | Supporting only (that site marks most of its figures "unconfirmed") |
| Base weight per pet | Wiki calculator data only | Rev. 2026-09-30 | Low to medium; some are placeholders (flagged) |
| Weight formula (37/60 power, 125× cap) | Wiki Mutations page, the wiki calculator, and the same formula in another fan calculator | 2026-09-20 | Medium (community-derived) |
| Mutation multipliers and how each is obtained | Wiki Mutations page and wiki calculator | 2026-09-20 | Medium; one fan site gives Spirit Bloom as ×3 |
| Mutations add, not multiply | Wiki calculator and Pets and Eggs page; the Mutations page says multiply | 2026-09-20 / 2026-10-04 | Disputed: you can switch |
| x2 Money gamepass | Wiki Gamepasses page | 2026-10-01 | High |
| Treadmill and trail prices | Wiki Treadmill and Trail data | 2026-09-19 | Medium; may have changed in later updates |
| Egg grow times on pet pages | Each pet's wiki page ("grow" field) | Sep 2026 | Unverified; shown as the wiki's figure |
| Fuse Machine (3 of the same pet give 1 egg; no published odds) | Game Rant, Steal An Egg Time | 2026-09-23 / 2026-09-13 | Medium |
| Secret Shrine recipes | Wiki Angels & Demons page, Game Rant | 2026-09-22 / 2026-09-23 | Medium |
| No trade window (gifts only) | Steal An Egg Time | 2026-09-29 | Medium |
| Latest update: Enchanted Forest | Steal An Egg Time update timer; YouTube walkthrough (SpaceQT) | 2026-10-03 | Its pets aren't in our data yet |

Found a wrong number?
Every calculator lets you override a base number on your own device straight away. To get it fixed for everyone, email contact@econlearn.org with the pet name, the number your game shows and, if you can, a screenshot of the pet card. The single most useful report is a pet with two mutations: its $/s settles whether mutations add or multiply.
How GrindMath is paid for
GrindMath may show ads. Because many players are young, any ads will be set up for a mixed audience: non-personalised and tagged for child-directed treatment, with no ad tracking based on your behaviour. There are no accounts and no sign-ups. See the privacy page.
