Worked example: a Golden Shark at twice base weight
- Weight ratio: 900 kg ÷ 450 kg = 2.
- Size multiplier: 237/60 = ×1.5333.
- Golden multiplies by 2.5, so income = $15K × 1.5333 × 2.5 = $57.5K/s, which is $207M per hour.
- Saving for the Celebrity Treadmill ($5M) from $0 with only this pet: 1m 26s. A plain Shark at base weight would take 5m 33s.
Common mistakes
- Expecting income to double with weight. A Shark at 900 kg earns $23K/s, not double the base. To double its income it has to weigh about 3.08 times the base: 1,385 kg.
- Forgetting the 125× soft cap. For a Shark that is 56,250 kg. Past it, extra weight still helps but much less: doubling from 125× to 250× adds only about 32%.
- Assuming mutations multiply. A Golden + Bloom Shark at base weight earns $41.25K/s if mutations add (the wiki calculator's rule) and $46.88K/s if they multiply. Plan with the lower number until it's confirmed.
